BLOG # 1: Just only in ancient art started.

Congrats to Group 1, job well done! :D
First, I don't really understand when/where ancient arts started. Because at first time does Group 1 reporting it was very confusing. PEACE OUT! :D But in the second time around they reporting I found that Ancient Arts is all about REALISM and NATURALISM.

Based on what I understand in Ancient Art it is functional artwork and it's not that so easy to make an artwork that is very functional. That's not so simple to make. I think in the time of that era all of the artist is smart. They are all creative artist and broad-minded. They are all admirable, I adore them because they are broad-minded. I don't know where they get an ideas to make structure or art works that very functional or useful. Based on what I understand in Group 1, I found that they are getting an idea based from the traditions of their period.

The Influence of Ancient Art into Multimedia is, Multimedia now a days are very functional and useful. We can express what ever we want using multimedia and we can use it everyday in our lives. Multimedia also have many purposes. Just like when we are chatting, texting or communicating other people it has a purpose, right? Also very functional. We can also use multimedia any time and any where that has influence of an ancient art.

We usually used multimedia influencing ancient art but only in the ancient art started.

Week7- "My LIFE would suck WITHOUT YOU"☺

Miss A, assigned all of us to make a MONTAGE for our new lesson- Images.

I include all of my special someone here. I want them to know that they are all special to me.

I also want them to know that I really really really THANKFUL because they become part of my life.

Actually, I don't know how would I thank them.

All of the person in the picture was very important and have a meaning in my life.

What is FFM?

- Its also known as Frenchfries Monsters, because every time we travel to Turbina to eat Jollibee we always fought and struggled to have french fries.

Know what? Without FFM my life would be so boring.

is also PART of my LIFE. I really glad to know that I also important to them.

I really appreciate there effort when they cooperate with FFM to plan a surprise party for me for my b-day. I really don't know how can I say THANK YOU to them. 

Also, without MMA1-1, Clau would be so boring.

I hope our friendship will never end.

Of course my FAMILY....

My loving mother, father and my cousins who always there for me to understand and to love me what ever I am and who ever I am. I'm so lucky to have a parents like them. I am only child but because of my loving parents and cousins that I have I don't feel that I am alone in this earth they always want me to feel that they are always there for me to give smile in my mouth.

THEY are the reason why I am smiling everyday. ☺

I chose this song just because I love the meaning of the lyrics, also because it's very inspirational.

For me, as a girl, if someone will dedicate this song for me, I would be very very glad.

As you can see there has a picture of Malu and Lou in my video because for me the true beauty of a person is not in the outside beauty, it is in the inside beauty also, because they have a kindness of their heart, the song is also suited for them and because they are my best friends.

True beauty is in the heart  not in the physical appearance.

Physical appearance it's not important.

If you're just having an outside beauty and you're heart is as hard as a rock, well I don't think anyone will like you.

"Week 5: Say No to DRUGS!"

Drugs have not any advantage in our life and if the causes are just problem at work, relationships, home, helpless, ashamed or leaving you feeling isolated it is not recommended to take or to be involve in drug. All of us are having a problem and we are going to solve it in a good way. Being drug pusher is not the good way to solve our dilemma in life. We should think first before we decide if we really need to do that such things. Also, drugs will only destroy our personality.

Of course, drugs have many disadvantages in our body system especially in our brain. According to psychiatrist, taking a recreational drug causes a surge in levels of dopa mine in your brain, which trigger feelings of pleasure. Your brain remembers these feelings and wants them repeated. If you become addicted, the substance takes on the same significance as other survival behaviors, such as eating and drinking. Changes in your brain interfere with your ability to think clearly, exercise good judgment, control your behavior, and feel normal without drugs.  The urge to use is so strong that your mind finds many ways to deny or rationalize the addiction. You may drastically underestimate the quantity of drugs you’re taking, how much it impacts your life, and the level of  control you have over your drug use. 

Some part of our body system will damage if we continue to be involve in drugs. 

The only way to avoid drug addiction is to have self control to yourself and soothe yourself with other things.
Always REMEMBER, that drugs haven't any advantage in our lives. :)

Week 4- Be original, Avoid PLAGIARISM

First, I would like to define the word Plagiarism. According to Merriam-Webster the word Plagiarism mean, "to steal and pass off the ideas or words of another as one's own."

Now a days, students are always depending on other's ideas. They always taking advantage to copy other's work especially when there is no teacher/professor to warn them. The student have no conscience always do that habit. They wouldn't feel the uplifting feeling when they have a high score on their own perseverance. They also loss their creativity to work for their own and to think for their own. They will not experience to be proud of their own work.

One more way of being plagiarism is when you are assigning to search and you just copy and paste the article or the meaning or the information of your homework/project. It's not bad to read others work or read some information but do not copy and create your own. You have your own brain to think your own thoughts. Right?! :D 

Also, their achievement in life will not so high as they want.

Do something unique that you will be proud of.

Avoid depending other's work, because "KUNG KAYA NILA MAS KAYA MO. RIGHT?"

Live your own and achieve your goal in your own way. :)

"Week 3- Avoid the idleness"

After the tireless event, we have a long weekend vocation to withdraw the labor we suffered last time.
I enjoyed the long weekend vacation because I can sleep long hours, I can do whatever I want, texting watching T.V., bonding with friends, etc without home works/projects.
But when it occurs over and over again I get bored. Though my life wasn't busy, I miss my classmates, my school, my prof., and being a student.

After the long weekend, I feel lazy to go to school, to wake up early and I've forgotten the word of being a STUDENT. I don't feel to go to school and to do all projects/home works because of the tiring event I had experience last week. All I want to do is to take a rest and sleep all day.
But that's not a good habit to used to. I convinced myself not to maintain that habit. So I learned! ☺

Being a responsible student is my goal this College, so I told to myself that being lazy is not good for a responsible student.

Week-2: "The Urgency of the Event"

It was hasty for me the Linggo ng Wika, because we have midterm exam, a major project to be submitted on that day, a booth and folk dance competition.

We have a re-exam in Phil. Gov. on that day and I did not emphasize my study because my focus is on our booth.

Thanks to Arvie Surio, because without him maybe our booth will be like a shanty.

Even-though, we’re not given a chance to win for the best booth, for me it’s the best booth.

Best Booth? Because it’s full of team work and effort from my classmates that I thought they wouldn't help us to decorate the booth.

While the happenings in our Folk Dance Competition was a blast!

We don’t know yet the step and it’s not polished well.

When we are performing there’s a problem, the CD is not working, so we used my cellphone.

I thought no one will cheer for us, but NO. I’m wrong, many of them cheered for us.

Yet, the event is fun. 

And in this event, I saw the importance of each other, the effort and the team work.

Thanks for their contribution of time, although I know many of them are also busy doing our major project.

Wk.1 -- Nearly Done...

For me, it was very easy to have new friends in school, maybe because I'm friendly and easy to be with(HOHO! :D)

Happenings in JUNE...


First day of class, I met Aiza on our first period and it was Physical Fitness subject, I talked to her and ask some information about her. Another classmate, Malu joined us and the conversation start among us.
Malu and I became close and best friends.

Another classmate Lou, is my childhood friend who formerly is a Tourism Student but shifted to MMA.
Malu met Lou in the choir where Malu's brother is the mentor.
Since then our friendship has strengthened more.

☺GRAFFITI PARTY☺
>> We are requiring us to have an effort and teamwork so that we can present our VID presentation very well and to be known that we are MMA student. First, we are very nervous and pressured because it has a little broken plan about the limitation of the time but then again the problem solved.
Maybe this is not the best party I've been attended but this party can be the first party that I cannot forget in my entire life.

☼PRELIM-EXAM☼
WHOA! Thanks to God. I've passed the exam. But I have 1 subject failed. HUHU! Im so affected and I don't know if there still a chance to retrieve my grade. I promised to myself on Mid-Term I will do my best to pass that subject (Fil.).

Happenings in August...


This month, all I can say is, this is very cramming month. Why? Because many projects were assigning to finalize. Com Tech which our Major Subject, we need to make a video about College Life, Physical Fitness we are assigning to dance of Aerobic and the Filipino we need to join Folk Dance which is theme of Maria Clara. We also need to join and to participate on behalf of our grades in Filipino. :D

☼MID-TERM EXAM☼
The other subject was so hard and yet I was sick I thought I cannot be able to take an exam.
And finally, mid-term was finally done and some of my subject I know was not good enough(HUHU!).
I know that the only person who can blame is myself and the only person who can help is myself also.

Stop being a mediocre person, let's prove that we can do our best! ☺

"Effects on today's youth"

Being unaware in our everyday life has form part the different information that come to us in whatever form. Yes, from sunrise to sunset we are bombarded with information that can be sense or totally senseless. Even our dreams can be source of information although they are weird and unexplained.
There are information obtained from relatives, neighbors, friends or just acquaintances by way of mouth to mouth  passing. Mostly the information here is not accurate and unreliable because the source is unknown and the details are not complete. This is considered gossip. However, there maybe few instances that this mouth to mouth form of information dissemination is used like in an opening of an establishment or spreading the goodness of a product or how delicious their food of a certain restaurant. This way the information is true and can be trusted because there source person has personal knowledge and experience. Today, all kinds of information could easily and quickly obtained and spread in all corners of the world through modern technology like the internet. The internet is almost a complete library. Research works are made easy and can be done at home. Library research is time and effort consuming.
Information the television, radio are the most common source. Print media like newspaper, journals, books requires time. Information from these sources are much trusted to be true because people behind these are the most knowledgeable to do such works.

To sum up modern technology has made most if not all to be lazy, especially the students, researchers and those in related fields. Big percentage of the students today do not know how to use the library or even the place where to find the journals, the thesis works and other things.

Perhaps, we should start to discipline ourselves to be dependent on the use of internet. We should also try to use other sources for information we needed.

Social Media???

First, social media meaning, refers to the use of web- based and mobile technologies to turn communication into interactive dialogue. It can take on many different forms, including internet forum, web blogs, social blogs, micro blogging, wikis, pod casts, photographs or pictures, video, rating and social bookmarking.

In our generation, social media is common. It is ordinary for us to have social media communication. Usually of us are using Facebook, Twitter, Yahoo and other social networks. And because mostly of us are using social networks, many of the social networks are progressing. From 55% to 90% broadband access will growing up on 2012.

In business it may refer to social media as consumer-generated media. Because nowadays, businessman uses social network to facilitate the communication of the negotiator and consumer.

Mediocrity- honestly, I really don't know it's meaning. This is my first time to encounter it. I can't recall seeing it in my readings nor heard for it from people I've spoken. I don't remember either hearing such word from the many programs I've watched in the television. So I thought it's uncommon word used only in technical writings or a term paper in Sociology or Psychology. To understood the word, I made a research using internet.
From what I discover, the Thesaurus meaning of mediocrity as a noun is, "nonentity or ordinariness." Nonentity means non-existing thing or an insignificant person or thing. So self-explanatory because by way of the five senses or even the so called, "sixth sense" one can tell if a living or a non-living thing is in existence or not. The significant or insignificant of a person or thing will depend on judgement of every individual.

The success of failure of an event or occasion can only be assessed by these who have direct involvement or participation. Another meaning of mediocrity is ordinariness which means the quality of being commonplace and ordinary. Mediocrity to be more understood is synonymous to familiar words like average and not outstanding and expectedness- ordinariness as consequence of being expected and not surprising. Commonness is another synonyms of mediocrity. To conclude mediocrity may sound to be a difficult word but deep it is just an ordinary word.

Excellence is a noun meaning the state or quality of excelling or being exceptionally good, extremeness or superiority. This word is repeatedly heard and read in our everyday living. This becomes a common word to people in all walks of life, to praise whoever has done exceptionally  good jobs. With the use of this word, one can see the finality of quality on how a work was done. Whoever is addressed of this word will extreme accomplishment and achievement.

In mediocrity, a person is being looked down, thinking that s/he has a very limited capacity. A person who excels in his work is being looked up, believing he has high intelligence. An individual who is so called "genius" can be both mediocrity and excellent. A genius is said to be excellent in one or two aspects but remains average on the rest. A Math or Science genius may not be good in English and Psychology. An ordinary office clerk or secretary is excellent in taking down notes but average only in decision making. It's an individual's choice to excel or remain on the average level. There are million or maybe infinite ways and means to excel. Those who stay on the average may not have discovered and developed their potentials. Everyone is equipped with talent, it's your choice to excel or be man ordinary category.

Just like Man's Evolution, from a simple caveman to the present human from, technology has gone very far and may go farther in the future. The very primitive way of communication like smoke signals used by the Indians is now transformed into the latest form of technology using our fingers only. Information and ideas, are dispatched in the fastest way as they can be.

With these continuous  innovations in technology, gifted persons out battle each other to come up with a more sophisticated and latest things to sell in the market. Those in the communication sector are the most in seek of this thing because of competition. Information dissemination is very critical as to who could send it fastest.

Thus, the battle will continue. Merging of two or more technologies will be possible. And in the farther future even those ideas that are still housed in the brain can be auctioned to the highest bidder.

Last week, Miss A gave us a project for our Prelim Examination and the topic is "Communication and Technology". Miss A assigned Janelli Veldazco, Rogelio Sasam, Andrew Abrigo, Louina Beato and Arvie Surio to be the group leaders. Each leader is free to choose their group members.

Janelli Veladazco chose me, Lou San Mateo, Marie Stella Joy Alcazor, Jojie Arroyo and Allan De Ocampo as members. During our meeting we've decided to compare nature and technology for little uniqueness. So we  made our VID presentation along with the other groups. There are feed backs that they didn't understand our presentation but nevertheless were proud of it. we put our best time and effort in it.

I know that all the groups did their best in every presentation but then only one has to stand out.

For me, Andrew Abrigo's group had it.

Why? Just because the teamwork was great and the effort was amazing.

All in all there presentation as a whole was clear, informative and interesting. ☺

HAHA! Cant erase on my mind what happened last Friday. I really enjoy the party esp. when we our performing our presentation.

And of course there will be no happiness if my friend MMA students were not there to participate the party.

Even though were not that so close to each other we feel that we are so close to each other esp. when we are performing our presentation. Thanks also to this party because we've  realized that we can be like brothers/sisters. Were now starting to know each other and open some conversations.

The FRIENDSHIP begins to grow. Now, I would say that my classmates are very cool and AWESOME just like ME.(HAHA! LOL. Just kidding) Just like CAS family esp. MMA they welcome and support us for our presentation, even though it had little defection about the time but Ms.Cherry Derequito encourage us to perform. Thanks  to her we perform our presentation very well. ☺

TRAFFIC SUCKS! >:))

 

Every time traffic starts, I get irritated. Traffic is a waste of time for people going to work, school and to those having emergency cases. As a student, I have to adjust my time from waking up much early to avoid being late in my school. This very same irritation gets into my nerve in going home from school to our house.

Also its sad to say that traffic build up also allows some petty and heinous crimes to happen from bad snatching to murders.

However, there could also be advantages in traffic. It may prevent accidents because of the slow moving vehicles. Bad elements can easily be apprehended when caught in traffic.

Therefore, its really mad to admit that traffic congestion has become part of our life because it occurs anytime of the day. However, time adjustment and management is a good answer to battle traffic problems. And foremost, always remember. 

"BE PATIENT" because patience is a virtue. ☺

First, I thought it would be so hard for me to have new friends and to adjust in the new environment.

But now, little by little I learn how to adjust and to mingle with other students at LPU-L especially in the Department of CAS. Where I am presently enrolled.

Now I have new FRIENDS, new CLASSMATES, new BLOCK MATES, and new SCHOOLMATES. 

So far, I could say that choosing LPU as my school is a right decision I made and I hope that I'll be expecting more interesting experiences and good training would serve as my guide for my future. :)
